Small fire in incinerator area quickly contained
The Disney Treasure' encountered a small fire in the incinerator area while sailing through the Western Caribbean on Feb 8, 2025, shortly after departure from Port Canaveral on a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise. It was quickly contained by the crew, ensuring no major disruptions to the voyage. A coded safety announcement directed was at the crew before the captain addressed the situation, assuring guests that the fire had been contained. The cruise director made a later announcement explaining that the crew had successfully controlled the fire.
Cruise ship rescued crew of sinking catamaran
The crew of the 'Disney Treasure' provided rapid assistance to four sailors in the middle of the Atlantic on Nov 10, 2024. Southwest of Bermuda, the skipper of the catamaran "Serenity", had sent a distress call to the US Coast Guard as it was in danger of sinking. Since the 'Disney Treasure' was nearby, the ship immediately changed direction and headed at top speed towards the position. On the afternoon, a rescue boat was launched to evacuate the four sailors from their sinking catamaran. They were safely brought aboard the cruise ship.
