Fri Apr 20 17:24:43 CEST 2012 Timsen

The tug "BB Ocean" jointly with a second tug was pulling the disbled "Straumen" to a quay at Moldegård. In Molde the damage will be surveyed and a decision taken whether a repair is possible on site. The fire in the engine room on Apr 20 had soon been contained by the crew, but left the tanker without power. The ship had just sailed from Hustad Marmor in Fræna bound for Elnesvagen when the fire broke out.

Fri Apr 20 13:05:02 CEST 2012 Timsen

In the morning of Apr 20. 2012, the "Straum" suffered a fire in the engine room between Hollings and Aukra off the Aker Yards. The tanker was outward bound from Hustadmarmor in Fræna. The fire could soon be brought under control, but the ship was left without energy.
