Crew member medevaced in Chios
On Sep 2 at noon, the Port Authority of Chios was informed by the Master of the 'Diagoras' that a crew member of the ferry felt unwell. The sailor was transferred to the General Hospital of Chios for the provision of first aid, while the ship continued its planned route to Mytilini, Lemnos and Kavala.
Ferry allided with jetty
On the the afternoon of Aug 30, 2024, the Port Authority of Kavala was informed that after the departure from the port of Kavala, the 'Diagoras' struck the south jetty on its way out of the port, suffering paint abrasions above the waterline on the port side. The ferry was operating a scheduled route from the port of Kavala to the ports of Limnos, Mytilini, Chios, Karlovasi and Vatheos Samos, with 923 passengers on board. The ship returned to the port of Kavala, where it docked safely. The Central Port Authority of Kavala initially banned the ship from sailing, while uponthe presentation of a certificate of class maintenance from the monitoring classification society, it was allowed to continue the planned route. No injuries were reported from the incident and no marine pollution was observed.
Allision in Vathi
During the mooring manoever, the "Diagoras" allided with the pier of the port in Vathi, Samos, on Aug 24, 2022, with 356 passengers, two trucks, 81 vehicles and 19 two-wheelers on board. The ship was banned from sailing until being inspected and receiving a certificate of seaworthiness certificate by the attending classification society. The "Diagoras" then departed for its planned itinerary on the route Piraeus, Mykonos, Leros, Patmos, Ag. Kyryko, Fourni, Vathi, Chios, Mytilini, Lemnos and Kavala.
