Grounding near Bonn

The "Insomnia", 3225 ts (EU-No.: 02329474) ran aground on the Rhine on Sep 5, 2019, around 10 a.m. after veering off the fairway near Bonn. The water police aling with the relevant river authority barred the river traffic from both sides after the accident. The Dutch flagged, self propelled barge ‘Margreta‘ (MMSI:244630402), coming from Bonn, was called to assist and managed to establish a towing connection.
