Drug bust on bulkcarrier after arrival from Colombia

Six sacks containing 134 packages with cocaine were found hidden in the cargo of ore on board of the 'Delphi Ranger' at Altamira soon after the ship’s arrival on Nov 21, 2019. The ship had come from Barranquilla, Colombia. The vessel was immediately arrested, the crew members were detained and taken to Ciudad Victoria for investigations. This was the third known case of drugs found in ore, the previous two also occurred at Altamira in July and September 2019. The sihp remaineed stationary in Altamira as of Nov 29.

The Panama flagged cargo m/v "NS Tera" suffered a mechanical failure and got out of control while maneuvering in Antikythera in the afternoon of Jan 3, 2018. The ship’s bow struck the stern of the berthed "Delphi Ranger". Both ships sustained damages and were to be inspected. As of morning Jan 4, they remained at Antikythera.
