Engine failure off lock of Kiel Canal
On Nov 22, 2016, at 9.10 p.m. the "Delamar", while enroute from Plymouth to Södertalke, suffered an engine failure while approaching the locks of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel. The ship was stopped by an emergency anchoring in the entrance of the southern chamber. At 9.30 p.m. the vessel was taken in tow by the tugs "Wal" and "Parat" and berthed in the inner port of Brunsbüttel at the south shore. On Nov 23 at 5.30 p.m. the vessel resumed the voyage. It passed the Kiel locks of the Kiel Canal around midnight and had an ETA at Södertalje as of Nov 25, 5 p.m. now. Allision in Stralsund
On Nov 17, 2014, around 5.15 p.m. the "Delamar" allided with a piling at the Ziegelgraben Bridge in the port of Stralsund. The ship was entering port coming from Vierow at that time. The ship which had a pilot on board suffered bow damage and scratches at the stern. An investigation was launched both against the master and the pilot. After the ship was surveyed, it was allowed to leave the port bound for Ahus in Sweden at 10.30 p.m. with an ETA of Nov 18.
