Freighter troubled off Kökar
In the evening of Feb 22, 2020, the 'Dalarna' suffered engine trouble in the northern Baltic Sea southwest of Kökar. The Finnish SAR ship 'Vl Uisko' (MMSI: 230304000) was alerted to ensure the vessel's safe passage. Meanwhile the ship got the problems fixed and was able to continue its voyage from Iggesund to Ust-Luga with an ETA as of Feb 24. Wave heights at the time of the incident were 10.30 meters.
Ship reached Iggesund after losing 1000 tons timber
The "Dalarna", which suffered a cargo loss in the Stockholm archipelago on Dec 10, 2014 in bad weather docked in Iggesund on Dec 12 around 3 p.m. An estimated 1000 cubic meters of the deck cargo of timber which was lost in the Finnish economic zone ended in the ocean. The vessel was controlled by the Coast Guard and the Maritime Administration on arrival at the Swedish port. The vessel did not seem to have suffered damage. Cargo loss in Stockholm archipelago
The "Dalarna" suffered a cargo loss in the Stockholm archipelago on Dec 10, 2014. The ship dropped hundreds of cubic meters of deck cargo overboard nine nautical miles southeast of Svenska Björn in the Stockholm archipelago. The cargo consisted of polypropylene timber. In the area winds were blewing with currently up to 23 m/s. With the prevailing winds, the wood could drift into the Åland archipelago.
