Allision with pier in Hannover

On March 27, 2017, at 4.40 p.m. the "Dagobert" (EU-No.: 05604440), pushing the barge "DBR 4520 A", 1200 ts (EU-No.: 5605960), veered off course and allided with the pier of the DVS bunker station on the Mittelland Canal in Hannover at the road Am Zweigkanal, sailing westbound to Bad Essen. The pier and the container loaded barge suffered significant damage which was estimated to be around 50.000 Euro by the water police. Divers were sent down to survey the damage. Tug and barge were detained, and the operation of the bunker pier was terminated by the relevant water authority.
