Xavier broke los car carrier
On Oct 5, 2017, the car carrier "Cygnus Leader" broke off its moorings in the North port of Bremerhaven in gusts of the storm "Xavier". The ship was pushed against the berthed vehicles carrier "Asian King" (IMO: 9203291) before tugs got it back under control. The "Asian King" left the port bound to Gothenburg at 7 p.m. The "Cygnus Leader" which had arrived from Izmit on Oct 4 at 10 p.m. was pulled back to berth N. It had suffered damage to its stern ramp. Around midnight the ship shifted to the German Dry Dock for repairs.
