Container ship listed due to faulty ballast system
On Sep 19, 2016, the "Cygnus" became unstable and started listing first to port and then starboard side, resting on the quay in Santo Tomas de Castilla. The vessel was brought back on even keel by relocating containers, deploying a shore based mobile crane. The list was caused by faulty ballasting and miscalculation in the containers weight. The ship left port the same day, bound for Everglades, ETA Sep 22.
