Engine trouble off Quebec
The 'CTMA Voyageur 2' encountered engine issues in pos. 46 46 35.2 N, 071 13 50.9 W off Quebec on Oct 7, 2022, at 9.55 p.m. EDT. The crew carried out repairs, and the vessel continued its voyage from Montreal.
Clipper Ranger back from repair
The "Clipper Ranger" on Feb 18 has returned to Stornoway after repairs were carried out following an accident in January. The ship had set sail in Birkenhead on Feb 15. The "Hebridean Isles" has departed but the "Clansman" was still covering for the "Isle of Lewis" on the main passenger route. She was expected to return from drydock at the end of the week.
Allision in Stornoway
The "Clipper Ranger" running the freight ferry service from Stornoway to Ullapool allided with a pier in Stornoway in the morning of Jan 28, 2014 at 7.45 a.m. The ship's hull has been damaged, but none of the 19 crew and 10 passengers onboard were hurt. Emergency repairs were needed before the vessel could be taken to a dry dock. The "Hebridean Isles" has been brought in as a temporary replacement. An investigation was launched into the incident.
