Container ship secured by four tugs
In a severe storm with gale force winds, the 'CSCL Mars' was threatened to break lose from its berth at Container Terminal Tollerort in Hamburg due to the wind pressure and requested assistance on Dec 1, 2021. The tugs 'VB Perfect', 'VB Rasant', 'VB Resolut' and 'ZP Bulldog' attended and were pushing against the ships starboard side since several hours to keep it in position. The Taiwan flagged container m/v 'YM Evolution', 47952 gt (IMO: IMO:9496460), which was berthed ahead at the quay, was secured by the tug 'VB Prompt' at its berth. It left the port on Dec 2 at 7 a.m., headed to Antwerp with an ETA as of Dec 3.
