Engine trouble in Suez Canal
The "Cosglad Lake" suffered engine problems and subsequently stopped, while transiting the Suez Canal with the northbound convoy, on Sep 17, 2018, at 08.30 a.m. The crew repaired the engine, and the tanker resumed its voyage at 08.45 a.m. the same day. The incident had caused three vessel, the "Olympic Fighter", "Osprey" and "Elka Athina No. 23" which were sailing behind the tanker to stop. The "Olympic Fighter" dropped anchors at 160-kilometre mark and needed tugs to continue her transit through the Canal. It resumed its voyage on the same day at 10.45 a.m. The "Osprey" and "Elka Athina No. 23" were detained until the next day for the passage through the canal.
