Detention in Antwerp
The 'Constantine' has been seized at the Delwaide Dock in the port of Antwerp since Dec 20, 2019. The Algerian company CNAN Nord has failed to pay a bill of 350.000 Euros to a Belgian supplier of lubricant oil. The latter requested the justice to detain the vessel as a precaution. Now the cargo m/v 'Kherrata' (IMO: 9646455) has been at the port of Antwerp since Sunday to tranship the goods loaded by the 'Constantine' in order to transport them to Algeria. She left Antwerp after completing cargo operations on Jan 4 and left towards Oran. Pending the release of the 'Constantine', CNAN Nord has to pay a daily penalty of 9,000 Euros.
Vessel Name Change
The JANNES H. currently undergoing a refit at GC industries NV in the Antwerp area, Belgium will be renamed BBC INDIANA.
