CMA CGM 'Pelleas' starts NY & NJ calls on Ocean Alliance's Loop 3 service

Fri Aug 04 13:20:28 CEST 2017 arnekiel

CMA CGM's 9,900-TEU, CMA CGM Pelleas, has started calling at APM Terminals at the Elizabeth-Port Authority Marine Terminal in the port of New York and New Jersey. The vessel is deployed on the Ocean Alliance's Loop 3 service. The three additional members of the Ocean Alliance are: Cosco Shipping, Evergreen, and OOCL.The rotation includes major ports in China and Southeast Asia, and makes the port of New York and New Jersey its first US port of call, reported AJOT.The CMA CGM Pelleas is one of many ships of increasing carrying capacity calling at New York and New Jersey as a direct result of several preparations made by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey through a string of capital works projects. These projects include raising the roadway, and therefore the air draft, of the Bayonne Bridge; and the harbour deepening programme to load ships to a depth of up to 50 feet.
