Engine trouble under repair in Colombo

The 'CMA CGM Kailas', which had suffered a power outage off the Seychelles about 395 nautical miles southwest of Male in the Indian Ocean on 20 Dec 2021, en route from Nacala on Dec 21, 2021, arrived at the port of Colombo on Jan 15, 2022, at 8.30 a.m., being towed by the tug 'Teja' (IMO: 9274783). The ship was now undergoing repair works at the Bandaranayake Wharf. It carried 102 reefer containers of frozen tuna. Colombo is the transhipment port, and the containers are destined to Bangkok and Spain.

Successful first drydocking of CMA CGM Kailas at Ras Laffan

Jotun Paints successfully supplied and completed the application of its marine coatings on the "CMA CGM Kailas", which was the first vessel to be docked at the new Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma (N-KOM) Shipyard at Ras Laffan, Qatar.
