Medevac off Gran Canaria

On Dec 14, 2023, the medical evacuation of a crew member of the 'Christian Radich', en route from Funchal to Las Palmas was required 85 nautical miles north of Gran Canaria. The SAR helicpoter Helimer 206 was mobilized by the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo. The patient was hoisted from the sail training ship and taken to the Doctor Negrín Hospital.

Medevac off Algeciras

On March 12, 2022, the MRCC in Madrid coordinated the medevac of a sick crew member from the 'Christian Radich' in the Alboran Sea next zo Algeciras. The CSS Tarifa mobilized the SAR boat 'Salvamar Denébola' which took the patient off along with a doctor and transported him to shore. Video: https://twitter.com/i/status/1502958185984020484

Allision in Oslo

The "Christian Radich", upon its arrival from Skagen, allided with a dock at the Sukkerbiten i Bjørvika in Oslo on Aug 19, 2019 ,at 6.30 p.m.. The ship couldn't stop when approaching the quay because of the wind. The vssel suffered a small breach in the bow at starboard side above the water line which needed to be repaired. No one was injured. The damage to the ship was estimated to be around 50.000 Norwegian Crowns. Also the quay suffered damage which was not yet assessed.
