Fire on passenger ship injured two

Sun Sep 23 17:39:00 CEST 2018 Timsen

On Sep 21, 2018, at 12.40 p.m. a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Charlottenhof" (EU-No.: 5609390) which was on a cruise between the main port of Potsdam and the Deep Sea. Suddenly dense smoke emerged, and two crew members thus were unable to penetrate the room for surveys. The ship was close to the winter port of the owner company and immediately berthed there. The fire rescue Potsdam and other rescue services attended, and the passengers were safely disembarked. The two crew members suffered smoke intoxications and had to be treated in hospital. Collision on the Havel

Mon May 07 11:33:57 CEST 2012 Timsen

On May 5, 2012, at 4.40 p.m. the "Charlottenhof" was in collision with the "Havelperle" on the Havel at Caputh. The latter boat was about to berth at the pier of Caputh Castle with 24 persons aboard, when the "Charlottenhof“ with 15 passengers on board ran into its side while the "Havelperle“ was still manoevering off the pier. The passengers aboard saw the "Charlottenhof" and fled to the other ship's side in time so that no one was hurt. The upper deck suffered significant damage, it was assessed to be around 20000 Euro. The "Charlottenhof“ suffered only scratches. The police is still investigating the cause of the collision. Both masters had differing views.
