Fire on passenger ship injured two
On Sep 21, 2018, at 12.40 p.m. a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Charlottenhof" (EU-No.: 5609390) which was on a cruise between the main port of Potsdam and the Deep Sea. Suddenly dense smoke emerged, and two crew members thus were unable to penetrate the room for surveys. The ship was close to the winter port of the owner company and immediately berthed there. The fire rescue Potsdam and other rescue services attended, and the passengers were safely disembarked. The two crew members suffered smoke intoxications and had to be treated in hospital.
