The "Centaurus Dream" was refloated around Dec 23, 2017 and moored off Cigading Port on Dec 26. The ship with a crew of 22 on board had run aground in the Sunda Strait in the morning of Dec 7 upon arrival from Australia with a cargo of ore off Ciwandan, Cilegon in westernmost Java. The accident had been caused by strong currents despite assistance of a pilot and three tugs. 12 vessels were deployed in the salvage, including offshore and port tugs, a floating crane and the barge "Financia 62". Lightering started on Dec 16, about 19.000 tons of ore had to be offloaded until Dec 23. The vessel was to be docked at KBS Pesco terminal in Cilegon.
