Cocaine found in ship's bottom

Tue Jun 26 11:51:35 CEST 2018 Timsen

The Antwerp customs seized 317.8 kilograms of cocaine on June 12, 2018. The packages of drugs were hidden in the bottom structure in 273 packages in the bottom of the "CMA CGM Fort Saint George". The ship had come from Paramaribo and sailed again on June 13, bound to Le Havre.

CC FORT ST GEORGES 9261918

Sun Nov 14 11:31:54 CET 2010 Timsen

The "Fort St. George" on Nov 13 rescued the skipper of the Route du Rhum trimaran "ATNinc" which had capsized. The skipper Etienne Giroire was safe and well recovered on a position 1500 miles from Guadeloupe and 900 miles from the Azores. The solo skipper had inflated his liferaft and remained alongside his boat. Conditions were relatively fair, 10-15 knots of wind and small seas. MMCC Portugal was coordinating the rescue. The skipper is now underway to Pointe-à-Pitre.
