Cruise ship evacuated after allision
On Oct 10, 2015, short past midnight, the "Bellefleur" (EU-No.: 04800250) allided with a pillar of a bridge at Givors, south of Lyon, smashing the front of the ship. 15 persons suffered minor injuries. The 114-m-ship was carrying 117 passengers and 37 crew members. The ship docked in Vienna despite the severe damage to the bow. Firefighters in Isère responded and took care of the wounded, including many British and German tourists, evacuating them to hospitals in Lyon South, Vienna, Givors, and St. Charles Lyon.
