Fishing vessel took in water
A crew from the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod assisted the "Capt. Bligh" as it was taking on water in tough weather conditions in the early morning of Feb 25. The aircrew was launched at 3 a.m. to deliver a dewatering pump to the ship after it started taking on water 28 miles southwest of Martha’s Vineyard. The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter "Sanibel" escorted the vessel inland until it was met by a commerical tug to escort the crew into New Bedford. The weather at the time of response was 15-20 feet seas and 40-45 kt. winds. Report with video: http://wbsm.com/coast-guard-assists-fishing-vessel-south-of-marthas-vineyard/
