Bulk carrier struck by Houthi terrorists
On June 23, 2024, at 4 a.m. LT the 'Transworld Navigator' while sailing in the lower Red Sea or Gulf of Aden, was attacked by drones or missiles launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen. The ship had departed from Liuheng on May 29 and was en route to Suez, when it was targteted at least four uncrewed aerial systems (UAS). One of these struck the ship and caused minor damage. The vessel continued the voyage and readched the Suez South Anchorage on June 30. The bulk carrier was attacked for the fourth time by the Houthis militants.
