CMA CGM reorganizes the rotations of its ASAF line
In order to better match the needs of its customers in terms of Asian ports covering and available capacities, and to improve the reliability and flexibility of its lines, CMA CGM has decided to reorganize the rotations of its ASAF and WAX lines. New features for these lines will then be the following: ASAF • Weekly direct line dedicated to Angola, Congo and Namibia • A fleet of 13 vessels of 5,700 TEU capacity • New rotation adding 2 ports in North China : Xingang – Qingdao – Shanghai – Nansha – Chiwan – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Port Kelang – Walvis Bay – Pointe Noire – Luanda – Cape Town – Port Kelang – Xingang • Effective as from August 9th, 2014 with MV CAP ANDREAS voy. Vessel of the day CAP ANDREAS is deployed on Hamburg-Sued's North Europe - Subcontinent 'IOS' service
The 'IOS' is a fixed day 8-week service between North Europe and the Indian Subcontinent, that Hamburg Süd and Hapag-Lloyd run together (four vessels each). The port rotation reads : Hamburg, Antwerp, Tilbury, Tanger Med, Cagliari, Suez Canal (way point), Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Karachi, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Suez Canal (way point), Cagliari, Hamburg. With a caapcity of 6,612 teu, the CAP ANDREAS is the largest vessel employed on the loop, with seven other ships in the 5,447 to 5,905 teu range.
