Under tow to breakers
The "Bulk Viking" has left the port of Harstad under tow of the tug "Polartug" (IMO: 5367673) to Stokksund to be broken up, ETA May 2. Bulk Viking aground at off Husstad-Skjærvøy
Two NSSR-lifeboats assisted the "Bulk Viking" in the night of Feb 25,2017, which had run aground and lost its rudder off Offersøya in the Lødingen west bight. The ship had sailed from Narvik bound to Kobbvaagen at 1.50 p.m. The ship was stuck southwest of Offersøya at off Husstad-Skjærvøy . The "Sundt Flyer" and "Het Norske Veritas" were alerted at 7.20 p.m. The self discharger was towed to Harstad on Feb 26 at 3.20 a.m.
Bulk Viking recovered body of missing fisherman
On Apr 23, 2014, at 7 a.m. a fisherman lost overboard from his 42-ft-boat was found dead in Kvænangen by the crew of the "Bulk Viking". The man in the 30s was from Latvia. The "Bulk Viking" had participated in the SAR operation and was off the Skjervøy Skjæret. The fisherman was reported missing at 4:20 a.m. on Apr 22 after he fell overboard from his ship which was heading to Finnmark. On the whole eight vessels and two helicopters started the search.
