BREMERHAVEN
CT Offshore has expanded its fleet with the former German customs patrol vessel Bremerhaven, which will change name to Sander 2. The vessel will be rebuilt at Svendborg and thereafter operating as a survey vessel for ROV operations (Remotely Operated Vehicles) in connection with cable lying. “We have throughout 2010 witnessed an increasing demand for 24 hours operation with ROV’s. Therefore we have bought this new vessel, larger than our present survey vessel”, says Paw Cordes at CT Offshore. Bremerhaven is built in 1985 and measures 38.4 metres overall in length on a breadth of 7.8 metres. It’s powered by a triple engine plant of Deutz-engines developing 3,000 kW to a service speed of 28 knots. Source: Shipgaz news, http://www.shipgaz.com/news/top20/top1_news.php
