The "Braheborg", 334 gt, serving the route between Visingsö and Gränna, has been sidelined for a week in Visingsö due to a mechanical error which was fortunately discovered in time after a security alarm. The issue should be rectified on Feb 10, 2019, at 4 p.m. The driveline from the engine to the propeller unit was in poor condition.
Ferry assisted lifeboat
In the evening of Aug 10, 2018, the "Braheborg" assisted the Swedish lifeboat “Amalia Wallenberg” which had suffered an engine failure in blusery weather off Gränna. The ferry, which had left the port at 7.20 p.m., took the boat in tow back to Gränna. It arrived in Visingsö one hour later. Ferry suffered engine trouble
Amidst the tourist season there has been a problem with the starter of the "Braheborg" which is sailing between Gränna and Visingsö, in the morning of Aug 2, 2018. An electric failure forced the ship out of operation. Previously, the ferry "Christina Brahe" was docked in Huskvarna for maintenance. Thus, only one ferry, the "Ebba Brahe", remained in operation. An electrician was on its way to the ferry, which was sidelined in Visingsö, with spare parts and it was hoped to resolve the problem soon.
