Order to unload damaged cargo issued
The Admiralty Court, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, issued an order, on Sep 30, to respective parties and authorities to arrange the discharge and dispose of the damaged cargo, according to local rules and regulations. The respective parties and authorities were working to execute court order accordingly. The was is likely to sail after completion of cargo off-loading and the issue of subsequent Court Release Order, after necessary payments, clearances and sailing formalities are completed.
Bene still under arrest
According to Chittagong Port, bulk carrier Bene, is still under arrest at Chittagong port, waiting to offload the damaged cargo and its release order.
Bulkcarrier arrested in Chittagong
The "Bene" has been arrested by order of the local High Court in Chittagong on Jan 25, 2018, in a litigation case. The ship was held at the outer anchorage of the port. It had arrived at Chittagong Port on Dec 11, 2017, laden with 11.050 tonnes of soy bean.
