Tanker boarded by perpetrators
The "FSL Singapore" was boarded by two perpetrators in a canoe, in position 006 17 48.0 N, 003 19 18.0 E, on the Apapa-Lagos secure anchorage, Nigeria, on Jan 4, 2019, at 12.25 a.m. The vessel was conducting a ship-to-ship (STS) operation with another tanker. The security patrol personnel on the forward part of the cargo deck sighted the perpetrators and informed the on watch 2nd officer, who raised the general alarm. On hearing the general alarm and seeing the security patrol, the two perpetrators jumped overboard into the sea and escaped. The "FSL Singapore" reported the incident to the Nigerian naval patrol vessel NNS "Bini".

The "Verona 1" on June 4, 2010, has been arrested in Japan for unpaid bunker bills by its charterer. The ship was arrested in Shimotsu, Japan by Singapore-based Daxin Petroleum as the bunker supplier said it had not been paid for fuel supplied to the vessel. FSL Trust said the amount claimed was not known.
