Ferry suffered water ingress

The «Bolsøy» suffered water ingress in the lounge on Aug 2, 2019, at 2.50 pm. at Geiranger while she was serving a summer route between Hellesylt and Geiranger. the fire brigade attended at the quay in Geiranger and started pumping the water out and was working to find out the source of the water ingress. During the evening, the fire crews monitored whether more water entered the ship. On Aug 3, the ferry, with firefighters and pumping equipment on board, headed to the Fiskerstrand Shipyard for repairs. The ferry company arranged transport for those who had to return to Hellesylt. While there are two ferries sailing between Geiranger and Hellesylt, the other ferry could not dock at the quay as long as the "Bolsøy" was there.
