Godetia collected 645 migrants

The "Godetia" collected aboard 645 migrants on June 30 and prepared to hand them over to the Italian authorities. The ship was first called to rescue migrants aboard three boats, including two overloaded dinghies. The first was carrying 94 people, including 11 minors, and the second 111, among them a dozen minors, all of African origin. The ship then came across boat carrying 110 people, including sixteen minors. 315 migrants were taken aboard the "Godetia" which then still collected 330 refugees picked up by the covette "Libra - P 90" of the Italian Navy. With 645 migrants the "Godetia" headed to a port in Sicily on July 1. Since the arrival in the Mediterranean, the "Godetia" rescued on the whole 1,617 boat people.

Godetia took on board 224 migrants

The "Godetia" took on board 224 migrants who had previously been rescued by the "Leptis Star" on June 23, 2015 in the Mediterranean Sea. The "Leptis Star" had rescued them from two inflatable boats each carrying 112 people, some of whom were injured, near the Libyan and Maltese coast.
