Three crew members died in hold

The 'Blue Cecil' had to interrupt its voyage in the evening of Dec 8, 2023, in the South China Sea 149 nautical miles northwest of Bolinao, en route from Portland, Oregon, to Singapore, and headed to Manila. At 9.30 p.m. te master reported to th ePhilippine Coastguard, that three crew members were in a critical state and requested medical assistance. Later, while still under way, he reported that all had died. They were declared dead by the ship’s duty doctorin the evening. The three seafarers had entered a hold while the ship was underway, where they were found unconscious by other crew members.The ship anchored at Manila Bay in pos. 14° 32.38' N 120° 53.42' E on Dec 9 at 11.50 a.m. UTC, where the bodies were transferred to the Port of Manila by the BRP 'Malabrigo (MRRV-4402)'.

Ship robbed off Dumai

The "Princess Paula" was boarded by robbers in position 01 42 N, 101 26 E, at the Dumai Port Anchorage on May 11, 2019, at 10 a.m. The robbers escaped with the stolen engine spare parts. The third engineer noticed the robbery when he entered the engine room and discovered that the spare parts compartments had been broken into. The alarm was raised, and a search of the vessel was concluded.
