Massive oil rig left Belfast after maintenance work at Harland and Wolff
The BLACKFORD DOLPHIN drill platform arrived in Northern Ireland last November (2013) from Brazil, with the shipyard recruiting hundreds of extra workers to undertake the job. It was originally expected to take around 50 days but the giant offshore drill, one of the largest of its kind, ended up dominating the Belfast skyline for around six months. The rig was towed away from Harland and Wolff on Tuesday (June 17) and is expected to stop at Bangor Bay to pick up anchors before departing NI later this week. Source : UTV News
