BITUMEN EXPRESS 8014344
In the foremidday hours of Mar 7, 2010, the St. Vincent-Grenadines-flagged tank m/v "Bitumen Express", 5232 gt (IMO: 8014344), ran aground on the northern embankment of the Kiel Canal near the Breiholz canal ferry coming from Kiel on its way to Rotterdam. The tug "Conrad" which was by chance on scene sailing eastbound in the canal with a barge berthed this in the passing point Breiholz and then refloated the "Bitumen Express". The ship then proceeded to Brunsbuettel where it meanwhile has berthed.
