Leaking pipe off Land's End

On March 28, 2018, at 8.15 p.m. the "Billesborg", en route from Barranquilla to Tornio with 16 crew members on board suffered a leaking coolant pipe 25 nautical miles south of Land's End, in position 49 39 48N, 005 42 18W. The crew started carrying out the repairs, which were completed in about an hour. At 9.15 p.m. the defect was rectified and the vessel was under way again, ETA Aopr 3, 8 p.m. The vessel was carrying 6.000 tonnes of coke in bulk on board, along with 113 tonnes of diesel and 180 metric of fuel oil.

Engine trouble at Niagara-on-the-Lake

On Dec 30, 2017, at 6.20 p.m. the "Billesborg" which had departed Hamilton at 3:30 p.m. bound for Trois Rivières, Quebec, called Seaway Newcastle to report mechanical problems and was going to anchor north of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
