Sun Jun 04 12:34:47 CEST 2023 Timsen

The 'Bergsfjord' suffered a technical challenge and could not disconnect from shore power at Sortverfjord in the morning of June 2, 2023. Service personnel was called, and the vessel was brought back in operation.

Ferry lost engine power

Tue Dec 10 11:42:51 CET 2019 Timsen

On Dec 9, 2019, the "Bergsfjord" lost engine power in Finnmark enroute to Hasvik and had to turn back to the port of Øksfjord. The failure was caused by a technical error. The deparure from Øksfjord at 4.10 p.m. and at 5:45 p.m. from Hasvik had to be cancelled thus. The ship returned to service at 8.50 p.m.

Ferry suffered hole in the hull

Fri Jun 24 10:38:44 CEST 2016 Timsen

The "Bergsfjord" recently had to decommissioned timewise from the Hasvik route because of a hole in the hull. An inspection had revealed a 40 millimeters long and two millimeters wide hole in the bottom of the ship. It was discovered already on May 26, 2016, on the way from Øksfjord when water ingress was remarked. 21 minutes after departure from Øksfjord bound for Hasvik the ship had to return as a precaution and docked at the nearest pier, where the damage was investigated. The hull was repaired within four days. It was found out that the developer of the ferry port in Bergsfjord had forgotten to remove a part of the structure which poked out of the quay and caused the damage and will now have to pay a compensation.
