Off the Chinese Shandong Province the Panama-flagged "Dong Fang Ocean" (IMO-No.: 8414520) was in collision with the "Aali" on Nov 29, 2010, at 2.25 a.m. Both ships were severely damaged, 3 tugs and one salvage vessel sent to the scene and reached the site at 5.30 a.m. The "Aali" which was underway from Kaoshiung to Tianjin had on board a crew of 23 13 Iranians and 10 Filipinos. The crew of 26 of the "Dong Fang Ocean“, which was underway from Tianjin to Singapore, were all Chinese. The „Aali“ was towed to Weihai the other ship to Longyan in Shandong.
