Trawler disabled in Havøysund
In the night of May 20, 2014, the lifeboat "Gjert Wilhelmsen" of the NSSR station Sørvær was out for nearly 12 hours after having been notified on May 19 at 10.40 p.m. that the "Kågtind" had engine trouble and needed assistance. At 10:30 a.m. te following morning the ships reached the dock in Havøysund afte ra tow of almost 100 nautical miles. When the ships arrived at the wharf in Havøysund, they received assistance from the lifeboat "Odin". The trawler was carraying a full cargo of fish and weighed almost 700 tonnes.
