Negligence caused oil spill
On Jan 29, 2016, a substantial amount of oil leaked overboard from the "Jongleur" in Porto Vesme, Sardinia. Anemergency anti pollution plan has been activated, and the vessel was surrounded by booms. The authorities suspect crew negligence, an investigation was under way. The ship had arrived in port on Jan 28 in order to load a cargo of lead ingots.
Bridge allision in Gothenburg
Enroute from Seaham to Otterbacken the "Jongleur" struck the Götaälv-Bridge in Gothenburg on May 3, 2015, around midnight. The mast of the vessel struck the bottom of the building and damaged it. The bridge had to be closed for passing ships and vehicle traffic after the allision for investigations. It is opened 3-4 times a day in the average.
