Bulk carrier located six Cuban boat people

Mon Aug 22 11:28:32 CEST 2022 Timsen

Six Cubans who were sailing in a homemade boat were. rescued from the waters of the Yucatecan Sea by the 13the Naval Zone of the ÄUSCG. The boat, made of sheets and wood, was located the crew of the "Baleen" 267 nautical miles northeast of the port of Progreso, who informed the naval authority. A frigate thereupon left the port of Yucatan in search of the small boat, which was manned by three women and three men. After being rescued, doctors evaluated the health conditions of the boat people, since they spent at least two days on the high seas under high temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean; They also provided them with food. They were then taken to the port of Yucalpetén and handed over to the National Migration Institute, where the immigration authorities will decide on their fate.
