Shellfish boat towed to safety
The lifeboat of the RNLI station Lerwick went to the aid of the 'Cornucopia' the propeller of which had become fouled on a rope causing it to drift near cliffs in the South Mainland on March 30 at 1 p.m. The lifeboat launched at the request of the HM Coastguard. Within half an hour it had reached the vessel just a few hundred metres from cliffs near Levenwick.
