Restaurateur died on board
Aboard the "Autstria", the 57 year old restauteur Manfred Patzalt from Wallsee, suffered health problems in the foremidday of Oct 27, 2019, and retreated to his bunk. When he did not respond upon request of the crew leater, they broke open his locked cabin door at 2.30 p.m. and found him unrespnsive. All attempts to resuscitate the man failed, and when an emergency doctor arrived at the berth in Dürnstein, he pronounced the man dead. There was no suspicion about his death.
Repairs of collision damage completed
After the collision of the "Austria " with the Austrian paddle wheeler "Schönbrunn" 648 dwt (EU-No.: 203999295; CS: OED9023; MMSI: 203999295), on the Danube on June 18 the ship was back in service after a repair of two weeks at the Öswag Yard in Linz. She had been replaced by the "Austria Princess" in the meantime.
