Spencer Gulf ferry "Aurora V" halted for repairs again
The Spencer Gulf ferry is out of operation again today - for the second time in two weeks. It is the second time in two weeks the new $12 million Aurora V ferry has had to go out of service because of mechanical issues. This afternoon, management were waiting on an accurate assessment of the problem and repairs. But they still hope to have the vessel back in service tomorrow between Wallaroo and Lucky Bay. Technical problems on new ferry
There has been a mechanical problem for the "Aurora V" operating between Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas. The ramp problem affected the ferry at Lucky Bay near Cowell on Wednesday, delaying vehicles. Technical issues are also expected over the next few days as the crew and the vessel get settled in.
