Allision in Havana

The 'Augusta Luna' allided with the tug 'Capricornio I' while manoeuvring to berth at the Haiphong Terminal pier, Havana, on Dec 21, 2020, at 2.55 p.m. The ship's hull suffered a dent about 7.4 metres above the waterline in a diameter of 50 centimeters at the height of the ballast tank 1 at starboard side. The seaworthiness was not affected. The ship later left the port enroute to Mariel.

Electrical engine problem off Lizard Point

The "Lolland", en route from Sorel, Canada, to Poland, suffered a electrical problem with the engines on July 23, 2018, 28 miles SSE of Lizard Point, in position 49 43.1 N, 005 04.6 W. The vessel has a cargo of titanium slag in bulk on board. The crew dropped anchor for repairs, and the incident was being investigated. On July 25 at 1 p.m. the ship moored on Everingen Anchorage in pos. 51° 23.28' N003° 46.66' E where the tank barge "Ricky Jane" went alongside.

Rickmers Yokohama christened in Hamburg

Shipping company Lubeca Lübeck Ship Management GmbH & Co. KG and the Rickmers Group on Tuesday night in Hamburg christened with the "Rickmers Yokohama", the first of two jointly implemented new buildings. The naming took place by Boehe Daniela, wife of Lubeca partner Jan-Peter Boehe on Wallmann Terminal. The 28 million dollar worth "Rickmers Yokohama" is a 144 meters long, 17 370 tons carrying freighter with two 150-ton cranes and one 80-ton crane.
