Crew member went missing
A crew member of the 'Athlos' went missing in the sea area of Agiokampos, Larissa, on Oct 10, 2020. The JRCC was informed at noon by the captain of the ship which was 15 miles east of Agiokampos, Larissa, enroute from from Elefsina to Thessaloniki, unloaded. The Port Authorities of Thessaloniki, Volos, Skiathos, Nea Moudania, Platamona, Skala Katerini, Skopelos, Agiokampos Larissa, Agios Ioannis Mouresiou and Alonissos were informed and an SAR operation launched with negative results so far. The tanker moored in Thessaloniki on Oct 11.
Still at Tuzla shipyard
Combined chemical and oil tanker Athlos: Further repairs and maintenance are being carried out in the Tuzla shipyard. Vessel remains stationary in shipyard, as of July 7.
Repairs underway in Tuzla
Steel renewals were being carried out in the cargo storage tank 5 in Tuzla aboard the fire damaged "Athlos". Air tightness tests and pumping system inspections will be conducted upon the completion of repairs. Termanent repairs were completed and the vessel given a new trading certificates on Aug 9. Permanent repairs were completed and the vessel given a new trading certificates on Aug 9. At 9.40 a.m. the ship sailed, bound to Port Said.
