Lower Charter Rate for Diana’s Ice Class Panamax
Greek dry bulk vessel owner Diana Shipping has extended its time charter contract with Germany’s Uniper Global Commodities SE for one of its Ice class Panamax ships. The gross charter rate for the 2014-built M/V Atalandi has been reduced to USD 12,250 per day from the previous USD 13,500 per day. As informed, the new time charter has been signed for a period of minimum eleven to about thirteen months and is expected to commence on July 7, 2019.
Diana Shipping TC for m/v Atalandi with Uniper
Diana Shipping announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities SE, Düsseldorf, for one of its Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Atalandi. The global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels said that the gross charter rate is US$13,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 14 months to maximum 17 months.
Diana Finds Work for Its Panamax Bulker Atalandi with Glencore
Diana Shipping has chartered out a pair of panamax vessels to Glencore Grain, with the contracts commencing on March 26 and expected to generate around $4.6m. The company entered into a time charter contract with Glencore for 2014-built 77,529 dwt panamax Atalandi for a period of 20-25 months at a gross charter rate of $5,300 per day, minus a 5% commission. The charter commenced on March 26, 2016.
