Wreck removal of Sea Worker completed

After the "ASV Pioneer" has successfully completed the salvage and wreck recovery operation of the "Sea Worker" off the coast of Bjerregaard, the barge has been moored in Wilhelmshaven since Sep 30. 2017. The accommodation barge with 8 point mooring will shortly be available for deployment on its next contract having successfully completed its second salvage contract. The vessel was berthed in Wilhelmshaven for demobilisation and scheduled maintenance work required following the project.

The "ASV Pioneer" was deployed in the Mediterranean on a six-month contract with salvors Titan-Micoperi. The new contract with Titan-Micoperi is to provide a support role to the salvage operation including provision of accommodation for up to 90 team members, plus deck space for specialist equipment for the salvage operation of the "Costa Concordia". The "ASV Pioneer" provides an accommodation complex including 2 person cabins complete with en-suite facilities, galley, mess, Gym, medical and recreational facilities, manufactured to DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 standards. In addition the vessel provides a large working open deck area measuring 1100m2 with a load capacity of 15 tonnes/m2. The Ferguson Group was pleased with securing this latest contract.
