Propulsion trouble due to water in oil
The 'Astral', en route from Plymouth to Amsterdam with a crew of 13 on board, suffered propulsion trouble probably due to water mixed with the oil in its engine, in position 49 54 43.8 N, 002 57 10.8 W, on Dec 2, 2019, at 08.20 a.m. Subsequently, the drift stopped, and the vessel became stationary. The repairs were reportedly completed later and a further six to seven hours were needed to separate the water and oil. At 5.10 p.m. the ship resumed its voyage with an ETA as of Dec 4.
