First tanker with export oil cargo from Novoportovskoye field moored at RPK Nord offshore terminal in Murmansk

On January 28 the Malta flagged Ice Condor, first tanker laden with Arctic crude oil on January 28 2016 moored at the offshore transshipment facility RPK Nord at the harbor of Murmansk, the Murmansk Port Authority said. The tanker will transfer a cargo of 16,200 tonnes of crude oil to the offshore storage and offloading facility RPK Nord. This is the first cargo of oil produced by Gazprom Neft at Yamal Peninsula Novoprotovsky field and shipped throuh marine terminal "Novy Port" (Gulf of Ob). After accumulation on board RPK Nord tanker the batches of oil will be transshipped onto larger tankers for export. IAA PortNews has reported earlier that the 300,259dwt storage tanker "Umba" on 15 January 2016 was anchored by RPK Nord Ltd at offshore anchorage of the seaport of Murmansk in the Kola Bay. The floating storage vessel will be used for transshipment of Arctic export oil of Gazprom Neft from Novoportovskoye gas condensate field and Prirazlomnaya.
