Tug assisted in salvage of sunken cutter in Kiel
The 'Anton' assisted in the recovery of the sunken cutter 'Gorm' in Kiel port on Sep 21, 2022. The ship had sunk at the Willy Brandt Shore on Sep 5 and was raised with diver support within four hours by a crane barge. Once the wreck was deposited on its deck, the tug towed it to the KSH scrap merchandise in the East Shore Port, where the rotten hulk will be dismantled. The salvage costs were estimated to be around 30.000 Euro. A defective pump was thought to have caused the ship loss.
